A downloadable game for Windows
DESCRIPTION
Help your player to overcome obstacles by platforming and shooting.
You’re a kid who has grown tired of his boring day-to-day life in his village and has decided to go on an adventure.
But ever since you left, you started to see the world completely differently, seeing hostile walking mushrooms and obstacles that seem to appear out of nowhere again every day.
After scouting your surroundings, you decided to go back home, before it gets dark. But soon, you notice that the mushrooms and obstacles have appeared again.
To reach your camp on time, you need to overcome them, using the trusted tool you brought with you from your old boring life: your crossbow.
HINTS
1. Try collecting all the coins you can find on your way. You will be rewarded graciously for your hard work, for sure!
2. The mushrooms can still hurt you, even if they're almost dead...
3. Press "R" to reset yourself nearby in case you encounter anything that prevents you from moving forward. But be careful, you lose a heart in return.
About the Game Development
I created this game for a study module we had called Game Design. The goal of this module was to create interesting levels around the game mechanics of your choice.
For that, we applied theories like game flow, reward systems, target audiences, etc.
I wanted to try something new and decided to make the game inside of Game Maker 2.
I also created almost all sprites for the game, as I wanted to improve my skills in that sense as well. I took some public assets to speed up the process of development.
